Application
VEVBbSHv 1.2 kV, 6 kV; VEVBbSHv-U, VEVBbSHv-UV 6 kV
( 1,2 V; 6 kV; – , – 6 kV)

These cables are intended for transmission and power distribution in stationary mine networks at rated voltage of 1.2 kV; 6 kV, AC 50Hz frequency, laid in horizontal mining workings and by wells on the suspension to the hawser at ambient temperature from -30 to +50 C and 100% relative air humidity at 35C.

Cables with «U» designation have a high level of dielectric and physic-mechanical characteristics.

Cables with «UV» designation have a high level of dielectric and physic-mechanical characteristics and water-blocking materials.

 

Construction

Conductors
Multicore copper stranded round or sector-shaped conductors (class 2 in accordance with GOST 22483).

Insulation
Polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Screen over insulation
Copper tape.

Earth conductor
Multicore uninsulated copper stranded round or divaricate (made from a number of wires) earth conductor.

Auxiliary conductors
Multicore copper stranded round conductors.
Insulation and oversheath: Polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.
Screen: copper tape.

Core wrapping overlying of stranded cable core
Polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Covering «BbSHv» type («»)
Armour is made from 2 steel tapes and PVC oversheath is applied over wrapping. Nonwoven water-blocking tape must be laid under and over armour of steel tapes for cables with «UV» designation.

Technical characteristics

Insulation resistance of main conductors calculated for 1 km at 20 C is at least:

a) at acceptance and delivery:

  • at voltage of 1.2 kV - 7 MOhm;
  • at voltage of 6 kV - 50 MOhm;
  • at 6 kV with «U» and «UV» designation – 100 MOhm; for auxiliary conductors – 10 MOhm; for auxiliary conductors with «U» and «UV» designation – 30 MOhm;

    b) for operational and storage period for main and auxiliary conductors – 0.5 MOhm; for cables with «U» and «UV» designation – 1.5 MOhm.

    Conductors resistance calculated for 1 km at 20C complies:

  • for main and earth conductors complies with GOST 22483;
  • for auxiliary conductors of cross-section 1.5 mm - no more 14.5 Ohm; 2.5 mm - no more 8 Ohm; 4 mm - no more 5.3 Ohm; 6.0 mm - no more 3.5 Ohm.

    Cables endure variable stress level tests with rated frequency of 50 Hz for 10 minutes as follows:

    a) at acceptance and delivery:

  • 15 kV for main conductors at voltage of 6 kV;
  • 4 kV for main conductors at voltage of 1.2 kV;
  • 2 kV for auxiliary conductors.

    b) for operational and storage period:

  • 10 kV for main conductors at voltage of 6 kV;
  • 3.5 kV for main conductors at voltage of 1.2 kV;
  • 1.8 kV for auxiliary conductors.

    Durable permissible heating temperature of conductors must not exceed 70 C, for cables with «U» and «UV» designation – no more 80 C.

    Oxygen index of oversheath is no less 27 %.

    Cables are flame retardant with a single laying in accordance with IEC 4216, GOST 12176.

    Cables with «UV» designation must be hermetic in the radial direction under the influence of external hydrostatic pressure 1.96 MPa.

    Manufactured cable length: min. 400 m for cables with rated voltage of 6 kV and 250 m for cables with rated voltage of 1.2 kV.

    Cables of variable lengths may be delivered upon request (to 1000 m).

    Guarantee period: 5 years. The guarantee term is calculated from the commissioning date but no later than within 6 months since the day of manufacture.

    The manufacturer can ensure compliance of cable quality with requirements of current technical specification, provided all terms of transportation, storage, installation and use have been observed.

    Service life: 30 years, for cables with «U» and «UV» designation – 35 years.

    All products are certified.
