Application

VEVKbSHp 1 kV; 6 kV, VVKbSHp 1 kV

These cables are intended for transmission and power distribution in stationary installation at rated voltage of 1.0 kV and 6 kV, AC 50Hz laid in dry land at ambient temperature from -40 C to +50 C and (98±2)% relative air humidity at (35±2)C; laid in water, above ground and waterlogged land – at ambient temperature from +2 C to +35 C.

Cables are not to be exposed to direct sun.

 

Construction

Conductors
Multicore copper round or sector-shaped conductors, or compacted conductors (class 2 in accordance with GOST 22483-77).

Insulation
Polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Screen over insulation
Screen over insulation is made from copper tape for VEVKbSHp cables.

Earth conductor
Multicore copper stranded round or uninsulated divaricate (VEVKbSHp) or insulated (VVKbSHp) earth conductor.

Cable core
Round screened or insulated main conductors and cable core (or without it) twisted around insulated cable core from synthetic yarn.

Core wrapping overlying of stranded cable core
Polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Covering «KbSHp» type («K»)
Armour is made from galvanized steel wires (min. diameter 1.8 mm) and polyethylene oversheath is applied over wrapping.

Insulation resistance calculated for 1 km at 20 C is at least:

a) at acceptance and delivery for main conductors – 50 MOhm;

b) for operational and storage period for main conductors – 0.5 MOhm.

Conductors resistance calculated for 1 km at 20 C complies with GOST 22483-77.

Cables endure variable stress level tests with rated frequency of 50 Hz for 10 minutes as follows:

a) at acceptance and delivery:

  • 15 kV for main conductors at voltage of 6 kV;
  • 4 kV for main conductors at voltage of 1 kV.

b) for operational and storage period:

  • 10 kV for main conductors at voltage of 6 kV;
  • 3.5 kV for main conductors at voltage of 1 kV.

Durable permissible heating temperature of conductors must not exceed 75 C.

Minimal temperature of cable laying without preheating: 0 C.

Minimal bend radius of these cables at laying and installation must be not less than 10 overall diameters of the cable with round conductors and 15 overall diameters of the cable with sector-shaped conductors.

Manufactured cable length: min. 300 m.

Guarantee period: 3 years from the commissioning date.

The manufacturer can ensure compliance of cable quality with requirements of current technical specification, provided all terms of transportation, storage, installation and use have been observed.

Service life: from 10 to 30 years.

All products are certified.

For four-core cables of equal cross-section, these loads must be multiplied by 0.93.
For cables are laid in the water, these loads must be multiplied by 1.3.
