Application

KPEVKbSHp () 1 kV and 6 kV

Cables are intended for transmission and power distribution in stationary installation at rated voltage of 1.0 kV and 6 kV, AC 50Hz frequency laid in dry land and open-air at ambient temperature from -50C to +50 C and 100% relative air humidity at (35±2)C; laid in water and salt water – at ambient temperature from +2 C to +35 C. Cables are not exposed to direct sun.

The proposed construction of cable have longitudinal and radial hermiticity achieved by electroconductive water-blocking tapes and threads.

Strength of cable achieved by round-wire armour.

 

Construction

Conductors
Multicore copper round compacted conductors (class 2 in accordance with GOST 22483-77).
Conductors may be stranded with water-blocking filler if required for hermiticity.

Insulation
Thermoplastic high-technology compound based of polyethylene of low density.
Polyethylene have high dielectric behavior and low shrinkage, resistant to salt water

Screen
Above insulation imposed:

  • electroconductive nonwoven water-blocking tape;
  • copper tape.

Cable core
Three screened insulated conductors twisted around earth conductor (cross-section 10 mm) or water-blocking threads.
Intervals between copper conductor and screened conductors for sealing are filled by water-blocking threads.
Core wrapping imposed over stranding.
Core wrapping is made from thermoplastic compound.

Covering
Water-blocking tapes and galvanized steel round-wire armour are imposed over core wrapping.
Water-blocking tapes and galvanized steel round-wire armour fixed by water-blocking tape and tape from polymeric and synthetic materials.
Polyethylene of high density oversheath is imposed over fixed (fastened) tape. Polyethylene oversheath is applied over wrapping, characteristics:

  • low shrinkage;
  • high resistance to cracking and wearing;
  • resistance to atmospheric influences and aggressive environments.

Conductors resistance calculated for 1 km at 20 C complies with GOST 22483-77.

Insulation resistance calculated for 1 km at 20 C is at least:

a) at acceptance and delivery for main conductors – 500 MOhm;

b) for operational and storage period for main conductors – 100 MOhm.

Cables endure variable stress level tests with rated frequency of 50 Hz for 10 minutes as follows:

a) at acceptance and delivery:

  • 15 kV for main conductors at voltage of 6 kV;
  • 4 kV for main conductors at voltage of 1 kV.

b) for operational and storage period – at least of 75% of normalized value at acceptance and delivery.

Allowed testing by DC voltage.

Value of DC voltage should be in 2.4 times higher than DC testing voltage;

Cables must be hermetical in the radial direction under the influence of external hydrostatic pressure 1.96 MPa (20 kgs/sm).

Cables are resistant to salt water.

Manufactured cable length: min. 200 m.

Cables of variable lengths may be delivered upon request.

Cables are laying without preheating in ambient temperature min. - 15 C.

Minimal bend radius of these cables at laying and installation must be not less than 10 overall diameters of the cable.

Permissible level difference across cable laying at cable mounting for armour in one point – max. 200 m.

Permissible depth of cable laying in water – max. 200 m.

Durable permissible heating temperature of conductors must not exceed 85 C.

Guarantee period: 1 year from the commissioning date.

The manufacturer can ensure compliance of cable quality with requirements of current technical specification, provided all terms of transportation, storage, installation and use have been observed.

Service life: from 10 to 30 years.

Factual service life determined by technical position of cable.

All products are certified.
