Wires and cables for rolling stock and railway transport are designated for inner and outer connection of electric equipment of all types of railway and electric transport.

PPSVVM, KPSVVVM cables are designated for fixed installations and limited mobility assemblies with exposure to lubricating oils and diesel fuel with voltage 660 V, 1500 V, 3000 V or 4000 V AC at 400 Hz.

PPSVVM-1 cables are designed for steady installations at ambient temperature from -50 C up to +60 C.

 

Construction

Conductors
Multicore copper round stranded conductors (equal to or more than class 4 in accordance with GOST 22483-77).

Insulation
Insulation is made from polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Oversheath
Oversheath is made from polyvinylchloride (PVC) compound.

Wires and cables for rated voltage of 0.66 kV, 1.5 kV, 3.0 kV, 4.0 kV AC endure test by rated voltage of 2.5 kV, 4.0 kV, 7.0 kV and 9.0 kV AC according to EI-1 category, GOST 23286, with immersing in water.

Cables and wires endure AC 2.5 kV test without immersing in water according to EI-1 category, GOST 23286.

Protractedly permissible temperature for the conductors heating: 70 C.

Cables are flame retardant with a single laying.

Wires designed to connect to mobile current collectors and resistant to bending with torsion.

Cables are resistant to lubricating oils and diesel fuel.

Wires resist vibration with frequency from 1 to 100 HZ and sine bouncing acceleration up to 150 m/sec and accelerating blow up to 150m/sec.

Wires also resist vibration with frequency from 1 to 50 HZ and sine bouncing acceleration up to 150 m/sec and accelerating blow up to 150 m/sec with displacement amplitude 1.5 mm.

Manufactured cable or wire length for cables: min. 100 m.

Minimal temperature of wire installation: -15 C. Minimum permissible bending radius of the cable at installation must equal to min. 3 outer diameters of the wire or cable.

Allowed installation cables or wires with possibility of disconnection and connection wires and cables to current collectors at absence strikes and smooth bend on radius, which is equal to 5 outer diameters of the wire or cable at temperature minus 50 C.

Guarantee period: 2 years from the commissioning date.

The manufacturer can ensure compliance of cable quality with requirements of current technical specification, provided all terms of transportation, storage, installation and use have been observed.

Service life: min. 6 years – cables or wires for steady installations, min. 12 years – for cables or wires for fixed installations and limited mobility assemblies.
